Device Overview

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into device and wall outlet (optional).
  3. Set date and time: Press and hold CLOCK button, use START/STOP to adjust values.
  4. Attach cuff: Connect cuff tube to device port until it clicks.
  5. Select user: Press USER button to select User 1 or User 2.

Tip: Use AC adapter for consistent power and to conserve batteries.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Sit comfortably: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button.
  5. Remain still: Do not talk or move during inflation and measurement.
  6. View results: Reading displays automatically when complete.
  7. Record measurement: Results are automatically stored in memory.
  8. Remove cuff: Wait for complete deflation before removing.

WARNING! Do not take measurements more than once every 3 minutes to allow circulation to return to normal.

Memory Function

Access and manage stored readings.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Select user: Press USER button to switch between User 1 and User 2 memory.
  3. Average reading: Device automatically calculates average of last 3 readings.
  4. Clear memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds while in memory mode.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are removed (for approximately 3 minutes).

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and device longevity.

  1. Clean device: Use soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, solvents, or water.
  2. Clean cuff: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent, then air dry completely.
  3. Store properly: Keep in storage case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Replace batteries: When battery icon appears low, replace all 4 batteries.
  5. Cuff care: Do not fold or twist tubing; inspect regularly for wear.
