Safety Precautions

Parts Identification

Front Panel: START/STOP Button, Memory Button, User Button (User 1/User 2), Power Button. Display: Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate, Date/Time, User Indicator, Battery Indicator, Error Symbols. Cuff: Arm Tube, Metal Ring, Cloth Hook, Air Plug.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is the correct size for your arm circumference (22-42 cm). Using wrong size may give inaccurate readings.

Initial Setup

Before first use: Install batteries and set date/time.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Attach cuff: Insert air plug into main unit until it clicks.
  4. Test device: Wrap cuff on arm (not connected to body) and press START/STOP for system check.

Tip: For most accurate readings, wait at least 30 minutes after eating, smoking, or exercising.

Taking a Measurement

For consistent results, measure at the same time each day.

  1. Sit comfortably: Rest for 5 minutes with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery.
  3. Secure cuff: Wrap snugly but not too tight (should fit one finger under cuff).
  4. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  5. Select user: Press User button to choose User 1 or User 2.
  6. Start measurement: Press START/STOP. Remain still and quiet during inflation/deflation.
  7. Read results: Display will show systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings.
  8. Store reading: Device automatically stores reading when measurement completes.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped on arm.

Understanding Results

Note: American Heart Association categories: Normal (<120/<80), Elevated (120-129/<80), Hypertension Stage 1 (130-139/80-89), Hypertension Stage 2 (≥140/≥90).

Memory Function

Stores 100 readings per user with date/time stamp.

  1. View memory: Press Memory button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. View average: Press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds to see average of last 3 readings.
  3. Clear memory: While in memory mode, press and hold User button for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.
  4. Switch users: Press User button to toggle between User 1 and User 2 memory.

Tip: Take readings at the same time daily for most accurate tracking.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter (if used) and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean cuff: Use mild soap and damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Clean unit: Wipe with dry, soft cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  3. Store properly: Keep in storage case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Inspect regularly: Check cuff for cracks or leaks. Replace if damaged.

CAUTION! Do not autoclave, boil, or sterilize with chemicals. Do not bend tubing sharply.

Battery Information

WARNING! Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline with other types. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
