Device Overview

Front Panel: START/STOP button, MEMORY button, USER button (User 1/User 2), POWER button. Display: Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, Irregular heartbeat symbol, Hypertension indicator, WHO bar graph, User icon, Date/Time, Battery icon, Cuff wrap indicator.

Cuff: Connects to left side of monitor. Marked with artery index line to ensure proper placement.

Initial Setup

Before first use, install batteries or connect AC adapter, set date/time, and select user.

  1. Power: Insert 4 AA batteries or plug in AC adapter.
  2. Set Date/Time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until year flashes. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Select User: Press USER button to toggle between User 1 and User 2 icon on display.
  4. Cuff Preparation: Ensure cuff is fully deflated and tube is not twisted.

CAUTION! Use only the provided AC adapter. Do not use other adapters to avoid damage.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at the same time each day, avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior, and rest for 5 minutes before measuring.

  1. Sit comfortably with back straight, feet flat on floor.
  2. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Artery mark should align with brachial artery.
  3. Ensure cuff is snug but not tight. Rest arm on table with palm up.
  4. Press START/STOP. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet until measurement is complete and cuff deflates.
  6. Readings display with pulse rate. Symbols appear for irregular heartbeat or hypertension if detected.

Tip: Do not move or talk during measurement.

Understanding Results

Systolic Pressure: Maximum pressure during heartbeat. Diastolic Pressure: Minimum pressure between heartbeats. Pulse: Heartbeats per minute.

WHO Indicator Bar Graph:

Symbols: Irregular heartbeat symbol flashes if detected. Hypertension symbol appears if systolic ≥135 or diastolic ≥85.

Memory Function

Stores up to 100 readings per user (200 total) with date and time.

  1. View Memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings for selected user.
  2. Delete Memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 5 seconds while in memory mode to delete all readings for current user.
  3. Average Reading: Displays average of last 3 readings taken within last 10 minutes for current user.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed or device is unplugged.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug adapter or remove batteries before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners.

  1. Cuff: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent. Air dry completely before storage.
  2. Monitor: Clean with dry cloth only.
  3. Storage: Keep in provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Batteries: Replace when battery icon appears low. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the device. No user-serviceable parts inside.
