Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the monitor components.

  1. Main Unit (Wrist Cuff): Contains the display, buttons, and air bladder.
  2. LCD Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, icons, and date/time.
  3. START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops measurement.
  4. MEMORY Button: Recalls stored readings and sets user mode (User 1 or 2).
  5. SET Button: Sets date, time, and switches between mmHg/kPa.
  6. Cuff with Velcro Closure: Wraps around the wrist.
  7. Air Tube & Connector: Integrated into the cuff.
  8. Battery Compartment: Located on the back of the main unit.

Tip: Ensure the cuff is the correct size for your wrist (circumference range: 5.3" - 8.5").

Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Power on the monitor; set date and time for accurate memory records.

  1. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back. Insert 4 AAA batteries, matching the polarity (+/-) marks. Close the cover.
  2. Set Date & Time: Press the SET button. Use the START/STOP button to adjust values and the MEMORY button to move between settings (Year, Month, Day, Hour, Minute, Unit). Press SET to confirm.
  3. Select User: Press the MEMORY button to toggle between User 1 and User 2. The user icon will appear on the display.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types.

Taking a Measurement

For the most accurate results, relax for 5 minutes before measuring.

  1. Prepare: Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes prior. Sit quietly in a chair with feet flat on the floor.
  2. Apply Cuff: Place cuff on bare left wrist (unless instructed otherwise by your doctor). Position so the display is on the inside of your wrist. Wrap cuff snugly, leaving about 1/2 inch between cuff and hand.
  3. Position: Rest your elbow on a table. Raise your wrist so the cuff is at heart level. The Heart Position Guide icon should be centered on the display.
  4. Measure: Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet until measurement is complete and the cuff deflates.
  5. Read Results: Your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed. The reading is automatically stored in memory for the selected user.

WARNING! Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around your wrist.

Understanding Your Readings

Memory Recall Function

Access stored readings for tracking over time.

  1. Ensure you are in the correct user mode (User 1 or 2).
  2. Press the MEMORY button once. The most recent reading for that user appears.
  3. Press the MEMORY button repeatedly to scroll through all stored readings in reverse chronological order (newest to oldest).
  4. The display will show the reading number, systolic/diastolic values, pulse, and the date/time of the measurement.
  5. To clear all memory for the current user, press and hold the MEMORY button for more than 3 seconds while in memory recall mode. "CLR" will flash, then all readings for that user will be deleted.

Tip: Take readings at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Uninstall batteries before extended storage. Clean with a soft, dry cloth.

  1. Cleaning: Use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or abrasive cleaners. Never submerge the unit in water.
  2. Storage: Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, dust, and humidity.
  3. Cuff Care: Do not fold the cuff tightly or twist the air tube. Do not expose to sharp objects.
  4. Batteries: Replace all batteries when the low battery icon appears. Remove batteries if the monitor will not be used for 3 months or more.
