Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. For accurate measurements and safety:

  1. Do not use on infants, children, or persons unable to express themselves.

Setup and Preparation

Prepare device for first use:

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date/time: Press CLOCK button, use UP/DOWN to set values, press START/STOP to confirm.
  3. Apply cuff: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measurement. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  4. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level. Sit with back straight, feet flat.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is not too tight or loose. Air tube should run down center of arm.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings:

  1. Rest quietly for 5 minutes before measurement.
  2. Wrap cuff properly on left upper arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  3. Sit in chair with back straight, feet flat on floor.
  4. Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  6. Reading displays when complete. Note values.
  7. Press START/STOP to turn off or wait for auto power-off.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Device stores up to 200 readings with date/time:

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Delete single reading: Display reading, press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds.
  3. Delete all memory: Turn off device, press and hold MEMORY while turning on.
  4. Average function: Automatically calculates average of last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.

Note: Memory is retained even when batteries are removed.

Special Features

Irregular Heartbeat Detection: Symbol appears if irregular rhythm detected during measurement. Hypertension Indicator: Warning symbol displays if systolic ≥135 mmHg or diastolic ≥85 mmHg. Body Movement Detection: Symbol appears if excessive movement affects accuracy.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners.

  1. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
  2. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Do not bend air tube sharply or pull forcefully.
  4. Replace cuff if damaged or showing signs of wear.
