Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the device components.

  1. Main Unit: Contains LCD display, control buttons, and internal pump.

  4. Memory Button: Recalls stored readings for each user.

CAUTION! Do not bend or kink the air tube. Ensure cuff is properly connected before use.

Initial Setup

Prepare the device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Insert air tube connector into port on main unit until it clicks.
  4. For AC power: Plug adapter into jack and wall outlet (optional, disables batteries).

Tip: Use new alkaline batteries for best performance. Remove batteries if device will not be used for 3 months or more.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid caffeine, smoking, or exercise 30 minutes prior.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery.
  4. Ensure cuff is snug but not tight. Arm should be supported at heart level.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not move arm or talk.
  7. Reading displays when complete. Cuff deflates automatically.
  8. Record reading if desired. Device turns off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped on arm. Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Understanding Your Readings

Note: Single readings may vary. Consult your physician about your target range and monitoring schedule.

Memory Function

Device stores readings for two users (User 1 and User 2).

To Store: Readings are automatically stored after each measurement, tagged with user, date, and time.

To Recall: Press Memory button once for User 1, twice for User 2. Use START/STOP to scroll through readings.

To Clear: While in memory mode, press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.

Average Reading: Automatically calculates average of last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes (displayed after third reading).

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Wipe main unit with soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  2. Cuff may be hand-washed in mild soapy water. Air dry completely before use.
  3. Do not immerse main unit in water or other liquids.
  4. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  5. Inspect cuff periodically for wear or damage.
