Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. This device is for personal home use only.

  1. Do not use on infants, small children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use while operating a vehicle or machinery.
  3. Consult your physician for interpretation of readings and before making medical decisions.
  4. Do not use the monitor on an injured or sore arm.
  5. Ensure the cuff is not wrapped too tightly; it should be snug but allow one finger underneath.

WARNING! Do not modify the cuff or monitor. Keep batteries away from children and fire. Use only the specified AC adapter.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components of the monitor.

  1. Main Unit: Contains the display, control buttons, and air hose connection.
  2. D-Ring Cuff: Wide-range cuff with cloth wrap and metal D-ring for easy application.
  3. Air Hose: Connects the cuff to the main unit.
  4. START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops the measurement.
  5. Memory Button (M): Accesses stored memory readings.
  6. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries on the back of the unit.
  7. AC Adapter Jack: For connecting the optional power adapter.

CAUTION! Do not pull on the air hose when disconnecting. Hold the plug firmly.

Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back. Insert 4 new AA batteries, observing polarity. Close the cover.
  2. Connect the Cuff: Plug the air hose connector firmly into the port on the left side of the monitor.
  3. Set Date and Time: Press the 'M' (Memory) button. Use the START/STOP button to cycle through and set values. Press 'M' to confirm.
  4. Apply the Cuff: Sit comfortably with feet flat on the floor. Place the cuff on your bare upper arm 1-2 cm above the elbow. The tube should run down the center of your arm. Wrap the cuff snugly and secure it with the cloth closure.

Tip: Rest for 5 minutes before taking your first measurement. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes prior.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate reading.

  1. Position: Sit in a chair with your back straight and supported. Place your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
  2. Apply the Cuff correctly as described in Initial Setup.
  3. Press the START/STOP Button. The monitor will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet.
  4. Reading: The cuff will deflate automatically. Your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will display.
  5. The monitor will automatically store the reading with the date and time.
  6. To turn the unit off, press the START/STOP button again or wait for automatic shut-off.

WARNING! Do not move your arm or body during measurement. Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around your arm.

Understanding the Display

The LCD screen shows icons and values.

Main Values: Systolic Pressure (top number), Diastolic Pressure (middle number), Pulse Rate (bottom number).

Icons:
⏰: Date/Time stamp.
❤️: Pulse beat indicator (flashes with heartbeat).
⚠️ (with wavy lines): Body Movement Detection alert.
⚠️ (with heart): Irregular Heartbeat Detection alert.
🔼: Hypertension Indicator (lights if reading is above 135/85 mmHg).
M: Memory recall mode.
AVG: Average mode indicator.
Battery icon: Shows remaining power.

Memory Function

The monitor stores up to 200 readings.

  1. To view memory: Press the 'M' button. The most recent reading displays.
  2. Press 'M' again to scroll through previous readings. The display shows the reading number, values, date, and time.
  3. To view the average of the last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes, press and hold the 'M' button for 3 seconds while in memory mode. The 'AVG' icon will appear.
  4. To clear all memory: With the unit off, press and hold the 'M' button while inserting the air plug into the unit. Keep holding until 'CLr' appears on the display.

Note: Clearing memory is irreversible.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures longevity and accuracy.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or other chemicals. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Storage: Disconnect the cuff. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, dust, and humidity. Do not wrap the air hose tightly.
  3. Cuff Care: The cuff is machine washable. Remove the air hose and D-ring. Wash in lukewarm water (40°C/104°F max) with mild detergent. Air dry completely before reconnecting.
  4. Batteries: Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears. Remove batteries if the monitor will not be used for 3 months or longer.

CAUTION! Never attempt to disassemble or repair the monitor yourself.
