Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. Keep device away from children.

  1. Do not use on infants, small children, or persons unable to express themselves.
  2. Do not use during dialysis or if you have pre-eclampsia (consult physician).
  3. Do not use on injured or sore arms or after surgery.
  4. Do not use in areas with flammable gas (oxygen-rich environments).
  5. Do not disassemble or modify the device.

Getting Started

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries matching polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press MEMORY button, use SET button to adjust values.
  3. Connect AC adapter (optional): Plug adapter into DC jack and wall outlet.
  4. Attach cuff: Connect cuff tube to main unit until it clicks.

CAUTION! Use only specified AC adapter. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Front Panel: START/STOP button, MEMORY button, USER button, SET button.

Applying the Cuff

Proper cuff placement is essential for accurate readings.

  1. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measurement.
  2. Remove tight clothing from upper arm.
  3. Place cuff on bare arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  4. Ensure tube runs down center of arm.
  5. Wrap cuff snugly but not too tight (should fit one finger underneath).
  6. Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.

Tip: Use same arm for each measurement, preferably the left arm.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  2. Apply cuff as described in previous section.
  3. Press USER button to select user 1 or 2.
  4. Press START/STOP button - device will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  6. Reading displays when complete - note systolic, diastolic, and pulse.
  7. Cuff deflates automatically.
  8. Remove cuff after measurement.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Wait at least 3 minutes between readings.

Memory Function

Device stores readings with date and time stamps.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through readings.
  2. Select user: Press USER button while in memory mode to switch between users.
  3. View averages: Device calculates morning and evening averages separately.
  4. Clear memory: Hold SET button for 3 seconds while in memory mode (clears current user's data).

Note: Memory full indicator appears when 100 readings are stored for a user.

Care & Maintenance

Clean device regularly for optimal performance.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth - do not immerse in water.
  2. Wipe main unit with dry soft cloth.
  3. Store in provided case when not in use.
  4. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
  5. Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, and direct sunlight.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners. Do not autoclave.
