Safety Precautions

Before using the device, read all safety instructions.

  1. Do not use on infants, small children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use for purposes other than measuring blood pressure.
  3. Consult your physician before use if you have arrhythmia, poor circulation, or other conditions.
  4. Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around your arm.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components of the monitor.

  1. Main Unit: Contains the display and control buttons.
  2. D-Ring Cuff: Wide-range cuff (22-42 cm). The metal D-ring is used to secure the cuff.
  3. Air Tube & Connector: Connects the cuff to the main unit.
  4. AC Adapter Jack: Located on the side of the unit.
  5. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries (not included).

CAUTION! Do not bend or twist the air tube excessively.

Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment and insert 4 AA batteries, observing polarity.
  2. Set Date and Time: Press the CLOCK button and use the MEMORY button to set the correct date and time.
  3. Connect the Cuff: Plug the cuff air tube into the port on the side of the main unit until it clicks.
  4. User Selection: Press the USER button to select User 1 or User 2 for memory storage.

Tip: For consistent results, use the AC adapter if available.

Taking a Measurement

For the most accurate reading, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.
  2. Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
  3. Wrap the cuff around your bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above the elbow. The tube should run down the center of your arm.
  4. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet until the measurement is complete and the cuff deflates.
  6. Your systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse will be displayed.

WARNING! Do not wrap the cuff too tightly. You should be able to fit two fingers under the cuff edge.

Understanding the Display

The LCD screen shows various icons and values.

Main Values: Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate.

Icons:
User Icon (1 or 2): Indicates which user's memory is active.
Heartbeat Icon (flashing): Irregular heartbeat detected.
Movement Icon: Excessive body movement detected.
Hypertension Indicator: Appears if systolic reading is 135 mmHg or higher, or diastolic is 85 mmHg or higher.
Average Icon: Displayed when showing the average of the last three readings.
Clock Icon: Indicates date/time display mode.

Memory Function

The device stores readings for two users.

  1. To view memory: Press the MEMORY button. The most recent reading for the selected user appears.
  2. To scroll: Press the MEMORY button again to scroll through previous readings, showing date and time.
  3. To clear memory: While in memory mode, press and hold the START/STOP button until "CLr" appears. This clears all data for the currently selected user.
  4. Average Reading: After taking three measurements within 10 minutes, the average of those three will be calculated and displayed automatically after the third reading.

Note: Memory data is retained even when batteries are removed.
