Initial Setup

Prepare the device for first-time use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect cuff: Insert air plug into main unit socket until it clicks.
  3. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  4. Select user: Press MEMORY briefly to toggle between USER 1 and USER 2.

Tip: For most accurate results, use AC adapter (model EA-ADP01) to ensure consistent power.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate blood pressure measurement.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measurement. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.
  2. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported, and arm resting on table.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow with artery marker over brachial artery.
  4. Ensure cuff fits snugly but allows one finger to fit between cuff and arm.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not move arm or talk.
  7. Reading will display when measurement is complete. Device will automatically deflate.
  8. Record reading if desired, or it will be stored automatically in memory.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

The device stores up to 14 readings for each of two users.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to display most recent reading.
  2. Scroll through readings: Press MEMORY repeatedly to view older readings.
  3. Switch between users: Press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds to toggle USER 1/USER 2.
  4. Clear memory: Remove batteries for 1 minute to clear all stored readings.
  5. Average reading: Device displays average of last 3 readings taken within last 10 minutes.

Note: When memory is full, oldest reading is automatically deleted to store new reading.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and extends device life.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth only. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Clean main unit with dry soft cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  3. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  4. Remove batteries if device will not be used for 3 months or longer.
  5. Replace batteries when battery indicator shows low power.
  6. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or loses elasticity.

CAUTION! Do not wash cuff in washing machine or use bleach. Do not expose device to strong shocks or vibrations.
