Setup & Preparation

Unpack and inspect all components. Insert batteries or connect AC adapter.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries (not included).
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into DC jack on side of unit (optional).
  3. Attach cuff: Connect air plug to main unit until it clicks.
  4. Set date and time: Use MEMORY button to enter setup mode.

WARNING! Do not use on infants or young children. Consult physician before use if pregnant or have arrhythmia.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Sit comfortably: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  3. Position arm: Keep cuff at heart level, feet flat on floor.
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button.
  5. Remain still: Do not talk or move during inflation/deflation.
  6. Read results: Systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse display.
  7. Store reading: Automatically saved to memory.

CAUTION! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Avoid taking measurements after eating, bathing, or exercise.

Memory Function

  4. Clear memory: In memory mode, press and hold START/STOP for 3 seconds.

Tip: Memory includes date, time, systolic/diastolic readings, and pulse rate.
