Device Overview

Front Panel: Large LCD Display, START/STOP Button. Side: Cuff Port, Battery Compartment.

Display Icons: Systolic/Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate, Hypertension Indicator, Irregular Heartbeat Symbol, Memory Recall Icon, Battery Indicator, Cuff Error Symbol.

Cuff: Velcro closure, air tube, metal D-ring, artery marker.

Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Power on the monitor; ensure proper battery installation.

  1. Open the battery compartment on the side of the monitor.
  2. Insert 4 AAA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment.
  4. The display will briefly show all segments, then turn off, indicating it is ready.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

Applying the Cuff

Correct cuff placement is essential for accurate readings.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on the floor and back supported.
  2. Remove tight clothing from your upper left arm.
  3. Pass the end of the cuff through the metal D-ring to form a loop.
  4. Place the cuff on your bare arm with the artery marker (△) over your brachial artery.
  5. The bottom edge of the cuff should be 1-2 cm above your elbow.
  6. Secure the cuff snugly with the Velcro closure.
  7. Connect the air tube to the port on the side of the monitor.

Tip: Keep the cuff at heart level during measurement.

Taking a Measurement

Remain still and quiet before and during measurement.

  1. Assume the proper seated position with the cuff applied correctly.
  2. Press the START/STOP button. The monitor will inflate automatically.
  3. Remain still and do not talk while the cuff inflates and deflates.
  4. Your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will display.
  5. The reading is automatically stored in memory.
  6. The monitor will power off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not move your arm or body during measurement. Wait at least 3 minutes between readings on the same arm.

Understanding the Display

After a measurement, the display shows key information.

Memory Function

The monitor stores the last 14 readings.

  1. To recall memory, press the START/STOP button once to turn the monitor on (do not start a new measurement).
  2. Press the START/STOP button again within 1 minute. The most recent reading will display with the Memory Icon (M).
  3. Press the START/STOP button repeatedly to scroll through previous readings in reverse chronological order.
  4. The monitor will power off automatically after 1 minute of inactivity in memory mode.

Note: Memory is cleared when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Remove batteries before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth only; do not use liquids or abrasives.

  1. Clean the cuff with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Air dry completely.
  2. Do not immerse the monitor or cuff in water.
  3. Store the device in its case in a cool, dry place.
  4. Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the device. Contact Omron for service.

Troubleshooting
