  1. Do not use on infants, children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use during dialysis or if you have pre-eclampsia (consult your physician).
  3. Do not use on an arm with an intravenous drip or catheter in place.
  4. Do not use for purposes other than blood pressure measurement.
  5. Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around your arm.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the device components.

  1. Main Unit: Contains display, control buttons, and internal pump.
  2. LCD Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, and icons.
  3. Arm Cuff: Wraps around upper arm with Velcro closure and air tube.
  4. Air Tube: Connects cuff to main unit.
  5. START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops measurement.

CAUTION! Do not bend or twist the air tube excessively.

Initial Setup

Prepare the device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Attach cuff: Connect air tube to port on left side of main unit until it clicks.
  4. Select user: Set User switch to A or B depending on who will be measuring.

Tip: For most accurate results, use AC adapter (model EA-AC10) to ensure consistent power.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.
  2. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor and back supported.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Tube should be centered over inner arm.
  4. Position cuff at heart level. Rest arm on table with palm facing up.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not move arm or talk.
  7. Reading will display when measurement is complete. Cuff deflates automatically.
  8. Record your reading if desired. Device automatically stores it in memory.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff more than necessary. The device automatically determines proper inflation level.

Understanding the Display

The LCD shows various icons and values.

Memory Function

The device stores up to 100 readings for two users (50 each).

  1. To recall memory: Press Memory button. Most recent reading displays first.
  2. Scroll through readings: Press Memory button repeatedly to view older readings.
  3. Switch between users: Change User switch to A or B, then press Memory button.
  4. Clear memory: While in memory mode, press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.
  5. Average reading: Device calculates average of last 3 readings taken in the past 10 minutes.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed if changed within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and long device life.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Wipe main unit with dry, soft cloth. Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaners.
  3. Store device in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  4. Remove batteries if device will not be used for 3 months or longer.
  5. Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the device yourself.

CAUTION! Do not wash cuff in washing machine or use bleach. Do not twist or kink air tube.
