Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place the monitor on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back and insert 4 AA batteries, observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC Adapter (Optional): Plug the adapter into the DC jack on the side of the monitor and into a wall outlet.
  3. Attach the Cuff: Feed the end of the cuff tube through the D-Ring and attach it securely to the air plug on the left side of the monitor.
  4. Set Date & Time: Press the SET button and use the START/STOP button to adjust.

WARNING! Do not use the monitor if any parts are damaged. Ensure the cuff is the correct size for your arm.

First-Time Use

Power on the monitor; follow these steps for an accurate first reading.

  1. Prepare for Measurement: Rest for 5 minutes before taking a reading. Sit in a chair with feet flat on the floor.
  2. Wrap the Cuff: Place the cuff on your bare upper arm 1-2 cm above the elbow. The tube should run down the center of your arm.
  3. Position the Monitor: Place the monitor on a table so you can read the display easily. Keep your arm relaxed on the table.
  4. Take a Reading: Press the START/STOP button. Remain still and quiet until the measurement is complete.
  5. Register User: After the first reading, you can assign the memory to User 1 or User 2.

CAUTION! Do not take measurements immediately after eating, bathing, exercising, or consuming caffeine/alcohol.

Controls and Display

Access functions via the front panel buttons. Front Panel: START/STOP, SET, MEMORY, USER.

Display Icons: User 1/2, Memory Full, Battery Low, Hypertension Indicator (Green/Amber/Red), Irregular Heartbeat, Body Movement, Average, Date/Time.

Settings Menu (SET Button): Set Date/Time, Switch between mmHg/kPa, Turn Hypertension Indicator On/Off, Restore Defaults.

Memory (MEMORY Button): Scroll through stored readings for the current user. Displays systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, date, and time.

User Selection (USER Button): Toggle between User 1 and User 2 memory banks.

Taking a Measurement

For the most accurate results, follow this procedure each time.

  1. Sit comfortably with your back straight and supported.
  2. Wrap the cuff snugly around your bare upper arm at heart level.
  3. Press the USER button to select your profile (User 1 or 2).
  4. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and do not talk until the measurement is complete and the cuff deflates.
  6. Your systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse rate will be displayed.
  7. The Hypertension Indicator will light (Green=Normal, Amber=Pre-Hypertension, Red=Hypertension).
  8. The reading is automatically saved to memory.

Tip: Take readings at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory and Data Management

Supports memory for 2 users with 100 readings each.

  1. View Memory: Press the MEMORY button. Use the START/STOP button to scroll forward, SET to scroll backward.
  2. View Average: While in memory mode, the average of the last 3 morning or evening readings is displayed at the top.
  3. Clear Memory: To clear memory for the current user, hold the SET button for 5 seconds while in memory mode.
  4. Switch Users: Press the USER button to toggle between User 1 and User 2 memory banks.

WARNING! Clearing memory is permanent. Export important data to a logbook first.

Advanced Features

IntelliSense Technology: Automatically determines the optimal inflation level, making each measurement fast and comfortable.

Hypertension Detection: Color-coded bar on the display provides instant feedback based on WHO categories.

Irregular Heartbeat Detection: An icon appears if an irregular rhythm is detected during measurement. Consult your physician if it appears frequently.

Body Movement Detection: An icon appears if excessive movement is detected, which may affect accuracy. Remain still and retake the measurement.

Care & Maintenance

Remove batteries before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth only; do not use liquids or abrasives.

  1. Cuff Care: Wipe with a damp cloth if soiled. Do not machine wash, twist, or stretch excessively.
  2. Monitor Body: Clean with a dry cloth. Do not submerge or expose to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
  3. Storage: Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place. Remove batteries if not used for 3 months or more.
  4. Batteries: Replace all 4 batteries when the low battery icon appears. Use alkaline batteries for best performance.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the monitor. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
