Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components.

Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set Date and Time: Press the MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Apply the Cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm. The tube should run down the center of your arm.
  4. Positioning: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring. Keep feet flat, back supported, arm at heart level.

Tip: For most accurate results, take measurements at the same time each day.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for a proper reading.

  1. Remain still and quiet. Do not talk during measurement.
  2. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  3. Remain still with your arm relaxed until deflation is complete.
  4. Your systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will display.
  5. The reading is automatically stored in memory.
  6. To turn the unit off, press START/STOP again, or it will power off automatically.

WARNING! Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around your arm.

Understanding the Display

Icons and symbols on the screen.

Main Readings: Systolic Pressure (top number), Diastolic Pressure (middle number), Pulse Rate (bottom number).

Icons:
Hypertension Indicator ( ) - Appears if systolic ≥ 135 or diastolic ≥ 85 mmHg.
Irregular Heartbeat Symbol ( ) - Appears if an irregular rhythm is detected.
Memory Icon (M) - Indicates memory recall mode.
Average Icon (AVG) - Displayed when showing the average of last 3 readings.
Date & Time - Shows when the reading was taken.
Battery Icon - Indicates battery level.

Memory Function

Stores and recalls up to 100 readings.

  1. To view stored readings: Press the MEMORY button. The most recent reading appears.
  2. Press MEMORY again to scroll through previous readings (display shows memory number and date/time).
  3. To clear all memory: Hold down the MEMORY button for more than 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.
  4. Average Function: After taking 3 readings, the average will be calculated and can be viewed.

Note: Memory is retained even when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not wash or immerse in water.
  2. Clean main unit with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaners.
  3. Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears.
  5. Do not bend or twist the air tube excessively.

CAUTION! Do not use the monitor in humid places such as a bathroom.
