  4. Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm.

Specifications

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect cuff: Plug cuff tube into connector port until it clicks.
  3. Set date/time: Press and hold START/STOP for 3 seconds, use Memory button to adjust.
  4. Select user: Press USER button to select User 1 or User 2.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.
  2. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery.
  4. Keep cuff at heart level. Rest arm on table.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Reading displays when complete. Device deflates automatically.
  8. Record reading if desired. Device stores automatically.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Device stores last 14 readings for each of 2 users.

  1. Select user: Press USER button to choose User 1 or User 2.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Clear memory: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.
  4. Average reading: Device displays average of last 3 readings when in memory mode.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and long device life.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Wipe main unit with dry, soft cloth.
  3. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
  5. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or stiff.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners. Do not autoclave or sterilize.
