First-Time Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into DC jack on side of unit and into wall outlet (optional).
  3. Set date and time: Press and hold CLOCK button, use MEMORY button to adjust values.
  4. Attach cuff: Insert cuff tube into cuff port until it clicks.
  5. Select user: Press USER button to select User 1 or User 2 for memory storage.

CAUTION! Use only specified AC adapter. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.
  2. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported, and arm resting on table at heart level.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Ensure air tube is centered over artery.
  4. Press START/STOP button. Monitor will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not move arm or talk.
  6. Reading displays when complete. Cuff deflates automatically.
  7. Note symbols: Hypertension, Irregular heartbeat if present.
  8. For average: Take 2 more readings within 10 minutes; average displays automatically.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Stores 100 total readings (50 per user).

  1. Select user: Press USER button to choose User 1 or User 2 before measurement.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings for selected user.
  3. Clear memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds while in memory mode to clear all readings for selected user.
  4. Memory full: Symbol appears when memory is full for selected user.

Note: Date and time are stored with each reading if clock is set.

Care & Cleaning

Remove batteries before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth only.

  1. Cuff: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent. Air dry completely.
  2. Monitor: Wipe with dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, or thinner.
  3. Storage: Keep in storage case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Batteries: Remove if not using for extended period.
