Setup and Preparation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Ensure cuff size is appropriate for your arm.

Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm, align artery marker with brachial artery.
Position cuff: Ensure cuff is 1-2 cm above elbow, tube facing inward toward body.
Sit correctly: Sit with back straight, feet flat, arm supported at heart level.

Taking a Measurement

Remain still and quiet during measurement for accurate results.

Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
Press START/STOP button; cuff will inflate automatically.
Remain still until cuff deflates and measurement is complete.
Read results: Systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate displayed.
Note symbols: Hypertension indicator (if high) or irregular heartbeat symbol.
Press START/STOP again to turn unit off, or it will power off automatically.
