Setup and Preparation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Ensure cuff size is appropriate for your arm.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  3. Position cuff: Ensure cuff is 1-2 cm above elbow, tube facing inward toward body.
  4. Sit correctly: Sit with back straight, feet flat, arm supported at heart level.

WARNING! Do not use on infants, children, or persons with arrhythmia without consulting a physician. Ensure cuff is not too tight.

Taking a Measurement

Remain still and quiet during measurement for accurate results.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Press START/STOP button; cuff will inflate automatically.
  3. Remain still until cuff deflates and measurement is complete.
  4. Read results: Systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate displayed.
  5. Note symbols: Hypertension indicator (if high) or irregular heartbeat symbol.
  6. Press START/STOP again to turn unit off, or it will power off automatically.

CAUTION! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is at heart level.

  3. Average of last 3 readings displayed if taken within 10 minutes.
  4. To clear all memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.

Tip: Record readings in a log for physician review.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or use chemicals.

  1. Cuff care: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent; air dry completely.
