Safety Information

Read all instructions before use. This device is for home use only.

  1. Do not use on infants, children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use during or immediately after physical exercise or bathing.
  3. Do not take measurements more than necessary.
  4. Consult your physician for interpretation of readings and treatment decisions.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components of the monitor.

  1. Main Unit: Contains the display, control buttons, and air hose connector.
  2. Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, date, time, and icons.
  3. START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops the measurement.
  4. MEMORY Button: Recalls stored readings and switches between users.
  5. Arm Cuff: Wraps around the upper arm. Contains the D-ring and metal hook.
  6. Air Hose: Connects the cuff to the main unit.
  7. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries on the back of the unit.

CAUTION! Do not bend or twist the air hose excessively.

Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Power on the monitor and set the date and time.

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit.
  2. Insert 4 new AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the cover. The display will turn on briefly.
  4. To set date/time: Press and hold the MEMORY button for more than 3 seconds until the year flashes. Use the START/STOP button to adjust values and the MEMORY button to confirm and move to the next setting (month, day, hour, minute).

CAUTION! Use only alkaline batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

Applying the Cuff

Proper cuff placement is essential for an accurate reading.

  1. Sit comfortably on a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Bare your left upper arm. Do not roll up a tight sleeve.
  3. Pass the end of the cuff through the metal D-ring to form a loop. The cuff should fit snugly.
  4. Place the cuff on your arm so the air tube runs down the center of your arm, aligned with your middle finger. The bottom edge of the cuff should be 1-2 cm above your elbow.
  5. Secure the cuff so it is snug but you can fit one finger underneath.
  6. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at the same level as your heart.

Tip: Always use the same arm for measurements. Measurements may vary between left and right arms.

Taking a Measurement

Remain still and quiet during the measurement.

  1. Press the START/STOP button. All display symbols will appear briefly.
  2. The cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and do not talk.
  3. As the cuff deflates, your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed.
  4. The measurement is complete when the cuff deflates fully. The reading is automatically stored in memory.
  5. To turn the unit off, press the START/STOP button again, or it will turn off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around your arm. Do not move your arm or body during measurement.

Memory Function

Stores readings for two users (User 1 and User 2).

  1. To view memory: Press the MEMORY button. The last reading for the current user appears.
  2. Press MEMORY again within 3 seconds to scroll through previous readings. The display shows the reading number, measurement data, and time.
  3. To switch users: While in memory mode, press and hold the MEMORY button for more than 3 seconds. The user icon (1 or 2) will change.
  4. To clear all memory for the current user: While in memory mode, press and hold both the START/STOP and MEMORY buttons simultaneously for more than 3 seconds. "CLR" will flash, then all readings for that user will be deleted.

Note: The memory is retained even when batteries are removed.
