Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press TIME SET button and use START/STOP to adjust values.
  3. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  4. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level, palm facing up.
  5. Power on: Press START/STOP button to begin measurement.

CAUTION! Do not use on infants, small children, or persons who cannot express themselves. Consult physician for proper use.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported, and legs uncrossed.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Apply cuff properly as described in Initial Setup.
  4. Press START/STOP button - monitor will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  6. Reading displays with systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate.
  7. Hypertension indicator shows color (green=normal, yellow=pre-hypertension, red=hypertension).
  8. Reading automatically stores to memory (if memory not full).
  9. Remove cuff after measurement.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

The monitor stores up to 200 readings with date and time.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to display most recent reading.
  2. Scroll through memory: Press MEMORY repeatedly to view previous readings.
  3. Average reading: Press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds to display average of last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.
  4. Clear memory: Remove batteries for 24 hours to clear all memory (date/time must be reset).

Note: When memory is full (200 readings), oldest reading is automatically deleted to store new reading.

  6. Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, and direct sunlight.
  7. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or loses elasticity.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or other chemicals for cleaning. Do not autoclave or sterilize with ethylene oxide gas.
