Safety Precautions

Setup and Preparation

Prepare device and yourself for accurate measurement.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  3. Secure cuff: Wrap cuff snugly, not too tight (should fit one finger underneath).
  4. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level, palm up, feet flat on floor.
  5. Set date/time: Press SET button, use arrow buttons to adjust, press SET to confirm.

CAUTION! Do not use on arm with medical device or injury. Ensure proper cuff placement.

Taking Measurements

For most accurate results, measure at same time daily.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measurement.
  2. Sit comfortably with back straight, feet flat.
  3. Apply cuff correctly as described in Setup.
  4. Press START/STOP button - unit inflates automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  6. Reading displays with systolic, diastolic, pulse rate.
  7. Unit automatically stores reading in memory.
  8. To turn off, press START/STOP again or wait 1 minute.

Tip: Avoid eating, smoking, exercising, or bathing 30 minutes before measurement.

Memory Function

Stores 100 readings per user with date/time stamp.

  1. Select user: Press USER button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.
  2. View memory: Press SET button, use arrows to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Delete memory: In memory review mode, press and hold SET for 3 seconds to delete all readings for current user.
  4. Average reading: Automatically calculates average of last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are removed (internal backup).

Special Features

Hypertension Indicator: Color bar shows green (normal), yellow (mild), orange (moderate), red (severe) based on WHO guidelines.

Irregular Heartbeat Detection: Symbol appears if irregular heartbeat is detected during measurement. Consult physician if frequent.

Body Movement Detection: Symbol appears if movement is detected - measurement may be inaccurate. Remain still and retake.

Guest Mode: Take measurement without storing in memory by not selecting a user before measurement.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners.

  1. Cuff care: Wipe with damp cloth, air dry completely before storage.
  2. Storage: Store in provided case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Battery replacement: Replace when battery symbol appears. Remove if not using for extended period.
  4. Do not immerse in water or other liquids.

CAUTION! Do not wash cuff in washing machine or use bleach. Do not expose to extreme temperatures.
