Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. For accurate readings and safety:

Do not use on infants, children, or persons unable to express themselves.
Do not use during blood dialysis or if you have pre-eclampsia.
Consult physician before use if you have arrhythmia, blood disease, or have had a mastectomy.
Ensure cuff is at heart level during measurement.
Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm.

Initial Setup

Before first use: Install batteries or connect AC adapter, set date/time, practice cuff application.

Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
Set Date/Time: Press SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values, press SET to confirm.
Cuff Application: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm, align marker line with brachial artery, secure with D-Ring.
AC Adapter: Plug adapter into jack and wall outlet (use only OMRON-approved adapter).

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if not using for 3 months or more.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at same time each day, avoid eating, smoking, exercising, or bathing 30 minutes prior.

Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported.
Rest 5 minutes before measuring.
Wrap cuff on left upper arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
Position cuff at heart level, palm up, relax arm.
Press START/STOP button. Unit will inflate automatically.
Remain still and quiet until measurement is complete.
Readings display with pulse rate. Hypertension/Irregular Heartbeat symbols if detected.
Press START/STOP to turn off, or unit turns off automatically after 1 minute.

Tip: Take 2-3 readings, 1-2 minutes apart, and record the average.

Understanding the Display

LCD shows systolic pressure (upper number), diastolic pressure (lower number), pulse rate. Symbols: Hypertension ( ), Irregular Heartbeat ( ), Body Movement ( ), Memory Number (M01-M200), Date/Time, Low Battery ( ).

Hypertension Indicator: Appears if systolic ≥135 mmHg or diastolic ≥85 mmHg (based on home monitoring guidelines).

Irregular Heartbeat: Appears if irregular rhythm detected during measurement. Consult physician if frequent.

Memory Function

Stores up to 200 readings with date/time. Press MEMORY button to recall stored readings.

View Memory: Press MEMORY button, use START/STOP to scroll through readings.
Clear Memory: While in memory mode, press and hold SET button for 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.
Average Function: After 3 readings within 10 minutes, average automatically displays at end of 3rd reading.

Note: Memory is retained even when batteries are removed.

Cuff: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent, air dry completely.
