Safety Precautions

Read all instructions before use. For accurate readings and safety:

  1. Do not use on infants, children, or persons unable to express themselves.
  2. Do not use during blood dialysis or if you have pre-eclampsia.
  3. Consult physician before use if you have arrhythmia, blood disease, or have had a mastectomy.
  4. Ensure cuff is at heart level during measurement.
  5. Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm.

Initial Setup

Before first use: Install batteries or connect AC adapter, set date/time, practice cuff application.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set Date/Time: Press SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values, press SET to confirm.
  3. Cuff Application: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm, align marker line with brachial artery, secure with D-Ring.
  4. AC Adapter: Plug adapter into jack and wall outlet (use only OMRON-approved adapter).

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if not using for 3 months or more.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at same time each day, avoid eating, smoking, exercising, or bathing 30 minutes prior.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  2. Rest 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Wrap cuff on left upper arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  4. Position cuff at heart level, palm up, relax arm.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Unit will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet until measurement is complete.
  7. Readings display with pulse rate. Hypertension/Irregular Heartbeat symbols if detected.
  8. Press START/STOP to turn off, or unit turns off automatically after 1 minute.

Tip: Take 2-3 readings, 1-2 minutes apart, and record the average.

Understanding the Display

LCD shows systolic pressure (upper number), diastolic pressure (lower number), pulse rate. Symbols: Hypertension ( ), Irregular Heartbeat ( ), Body Movement ( ), Memory Number (M01-M200), Date/Time, Low Battery ( ).

Hypertension Indicator: Appears if systolic ≥135 mmHg or diastolic ≥85 mmHg (based on home monitoring guidelines).

Irregular Heartbeat: Appears if irregular rhythm detected during measurement. Consult physician if frequent.

Memory Function

Stores up to 200 readings with date/time. Press MEMORY button to recall stored readings.

  1. View Memory: Press MEMORY button, use START/STOP to scroll through readings.
  2. Clear Memory: While in memory mode, press and hold SET button for 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.
  3. Average Function: After 3 readings within 10 minutes, average automatically displays at end of 3rd reading.

Note: Memory is retained even when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water or use solvents.

  1. Cuff: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent, air dry completely.
  2. Unit: Wipe display and body with dry cloth.
  3. Storage: Keep in provided case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Batteries: Replace when low battery symbol appears.

CAUTION! Do not wash cuff in washing machine. Do not disassemble unit.
