Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components before use.

  1. Main Unit: Contains display, control buttons, and memory.
  2. Arm Cuff: With D-ring and Velcro closure, air tube connector.
  3. START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops measurement.
  4. MEMORY Button: Accesses stored readings.
  5. USER Button: Selects User 1 or User 2 for memory.
  6. AC Adapter Jack: For optional AC power connection.
  7. Air Tube Connector: Connects cuff to main unit.

WARNING! Ensure cuff is properly sized for your arm circumference (22-42 cm). Using incorrect cuff size may result in inaccurate readings.

Initial Setup

Prepare the device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Insert air plug into main unit connector until it clicks.
  4. Select user: Press USER button to select User 1 or User 2 for memory storage.

CAUTION! Do not use near strong electromagnetic fields (microwaves, cell phones).

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  3. Ensure air tube runs down center of arm.
  4. Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.
  5. Press START/STOP button to begin inflation.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Reading displays systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate.
  8. Device automatically deflates and powers off after 1 minute.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Review and manage stored readings.

  1. Press MEMORY button to view stored readings.
  2. Use USER button to select User 1 or User 2 memory.
  3. Press START/STOP to scroll through readings with date/time.
  4. Hold MEMORY for 3 seconds while viewing memory to delete all readings for selected user.
  5. Average of last 3 readings displays after current measurement.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and device longevity.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth; never immerse in water.
  2. Store in provided case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Remove batteries if device won't be used for 3 months or more.
  4. Avoid bending air tube sharply or pulling on connector.
  5. Replace cuff if Velcro no longer holds securely.
