  1. Do not use on infants, young children, or persons unable to express themselves.
  2. Do not use during or immediately after physical exercise or bathing.

Specifications

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values, press SET to confirm.
  3. Connect cuff: Insert cuff tube connector into main unit port until it clicks.
  4. Select user: Press USER 1 or USER 2 button to select user profile.

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if device will not be used for extended period.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Sit comfortably with back straight, feet flat on floor.
  2. Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.
  3. Wrap cuff around bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  4. Ensure tube runs down center of arm.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Reading will display when measurement is complete.
  8. Cuff will deflate automatically.

Tip: Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising for 30 minutes before measurement. Rest for 5 minutes before taking reading.

Understanding the Display

After measurement, display shows: Systolic pressure (top number), Diastolic pressure (middle number), Pulse rate (bottom number).

Symbols: Hypertension indicator (heart with exclamation) appears if systolic ≥135 or diastolic ≥85. Irregular heartbeat symbol appears if detected. User indicator (U1 or U2) shows current user. Memory indicator shows when viewing stored readings. Low battery symbol appears when batteries need replacement.

Error Messages: E1 - Cuff not properly attached, E2 - Measurement error, E3 - Pulse rate out of range, E4 - Excessive movement during measurement.

Memory Function

Device stores last 100 readings for each of two users.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Average reading: Press MEMORY button for 3 seconds to display average of last 3 readings.
  3. Clear memory: While in memory mode, press and hold SET button for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.
  4. Switch users: Press USER 1 or USER 2 button to switch between user profiles.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and device longevity.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth; do not immerse in water.
  2. Clean main unit with dry soft cloth; do not use solvents or abrasives.
  3. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Remove batteries if device will not be used for 3 months or more.
  5. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or shows signs of wear.
