Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter: Plug into port on back of unit (optional, for home use).
  3. Set date and time: Press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  4. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff around bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  5. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level, palm up, feet flat on floor.

CAUTION! Ensure correct cuff positioning for accurate readings.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate measurement.

  1. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Apply cuff correctly as described in Initial Setup.
  3. Press START/STOP button to begin.
  4. Remain still and quiet during inflation and measurement.
  5. Device will automatically inflate, measure, and deflate.
  6. Results will display systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse rate.
  7. Reading is automatically stored in memory.
  8. To turn off, press START/STOP again or wait 1 minute for auto power-off.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Access and manage stored readings.

  1. View memory: Press Memory button to cycle through stored readings.
  2. Each display shows: Reading number, systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse rate, date/time, irregular heartbeat symbol if detected.
  3. Clear memory: Press and hold Memory button for 5 seconds while in memory mode.
  4. Average reading: Device calculates average of last 3 readings taken within last 10 minutes.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed (for approximately 3 minutes).
