Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the monitor components before use.

Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing correct polarity.
  2. Set Date and Time: Press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds until year flashes. Use START/STOP to adjust values, Memory button to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Apply Cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Ensure tube runs down center of arm. Wrap cuff snugly using D-Ring.
  4. Resting Position: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before first measurement. Keep feet flat, back supported, and arm at heart level.

CAUTION! Use only specified batteries or AC adapter. Incorrect power source may damage unit.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Sit comfortably with back straight and feet flat on floor.
  2. Wrap cuff properly on left arm (unless specified otherwise by physician).
  3. Rest arm on table so cuff is at heart level.
  4. Press START/STOP button. All display symbols will appear briefly.
  5. Cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet during inflation and measurement.
  6. Measurement completes when cuff deflates fully. Readings display with pulse rate.
  7. Unit automatically stores reading (if memory not full).
  8. To turn off, press START/STOP again or wait for auto power-off.

Tip: For consistent results, take measurements at same time each day, before medication or meals.

Memory Recall Function

Review stored measurements.

  1. Press Memory button (M) to enter recall mode. Most recent reading displays.
  2. Press Memory button repeatedly to scroll through stored readings in reverse chronological order.
  3. Each display shows: Memory number, systolic/diastolic readings, pulse, date, time, and any detection symbols.
  4. To view average of last 3 readings: In recall mode, press and hold Memory button for 3 seconds.
  5. To clear all memory: With unit off, press and hold both START/STOP and Memory buttons for 3 seconds until "CLr" appears.

Note: Memory overwrites oldest reading when full. Date/time must be set for proper memory function.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accuracy and longevity.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe unit and cuff with soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, thinner, or abrasive cleaners.
  2. Cuff Care: Do not fold cuff tightly or twist tube excessively. Store loosely coiled.
  3. Batteries: Replace when low battery symbol appears. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
  4. Storage: Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
  5. Service: Have unit checked annually for accuracy. Do not attempt repairs yourself.

CAUTION! Never immerse unit in water or use near flammable gases. Do not use on infants or persons with arrhythmias without physician guidance.
