Initial Setup

Insert batteries or connect AC adapter, set date/time, apply cuff properly.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date/time: Press SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values, press SET to confirm.
  3. Cuff application: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  4. Secure cuff: Pass end through D-Ring, tighten so 1-2 fingers fit between cuff and arm.
  5. Positioning: Sit comfortably with back supported, feet flat, arm supported at heart level.

Tip: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.

Taking a Measurement

Follow proper positioning and measurement technique for accurate results.

  1. Sit quietly in a chair with back supported for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Apply cuff to left upper arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  3. Place arm on table so cuff is at heart level.
  4. Press START/STOP button - unit will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement - do not move arm or talk.
  6. Reading displays when measurement complete - unit deflates automatically.
  7. Record reading if desired, or it automatically stores in memory.
  8. Wait 2-3 minutes before taking another measurement on same arm.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Excessive pressure may cause injury.

Understanding Your Readings

Symbol Indicators: Hypertension symbol appears if reading exceeds 135/85 mmHg. Irregular heartbeat symbol appears if detected during measurement.

Memory Function

Stores 200 readings with date/time stamps. Access and manage memory data.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Average function: Automatically calculates average of last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.
  3. Clear memory: Hold SET button for 3 seconds while in memory mode to clear all data.
  4. Memory full: "FULL" appears when memory reaches 200 readings.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Clean and store properly to ensure accuracy and longevity.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth - do not immerse in water.
  2. Clean main unit with dry soft cloth only.
  3. Store in provided case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Remove batteries if not using for extended period (3 months or more).
  5. Replace batteries when low battery symbol appears.
  6. Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or other chemicals for cleaning.

CAUTION! Do not wash cuff in washing machine or use dryer. Do not expose to extreme temperatures.
