Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Mount in appropriate enclosure.

  1. Mounting: Cut panel cutout to specified dimensions; secure with mounting brackets.
  2. Wiring: Connect power supply to designated terminals (L, N, ground).
  3. Sensor connection: Connect thermocouple or RTD to input terminals observing polarity.
  4. Output connection: Connect heater/cooler to output terminals (relay or SSR).
  5. Alarm wiring: Connect alarm outputs to external indicators or controls.

WARNING! Disconnect all power before wiring. Ensure proper grounding to prevent electric shock.

First-Time Setup

Apply power; configure basic parameters.

  1. Set input type: Press and hold SET for 3 seconds; select sensor type matching your probe.
  2. Set control parameters: Configure PID values or use auto-tuning function.
  3. Set temperature units: Select °C or °F in basic settings menu.
  4. Configure alarms: Set high/low limits and alarm types (absolute/deviation).
  5. Test operation: Set desired temperature and verify heating/cooling response.

CAUTION! Ensure sensor is properly connected before applying power to prevent damage.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Front Panel: PV/SV display, SET button, UP/DOWN arrows, MODE button, ALM indicators.

Key Functions: SET (enter parameters), MODE (navigate menus), UP/DOWN (adjust values), combination keys for advanced settings.

Basic Settings: Input type, temperature units, decimal point, control action (heating/cooling). Advanced Settings: PID parameters (P, I, D), control cycle, alarm settings, communication parameters. Protection: Parameter lock (password protected), initialization to factory defaults.

Connecting Devices

Power: L, N, ground terminals. Input: Thermocouple/RTD terminals. Output: Relay/SSR terminals. Communication: RS-485 terminals (A, B, ground).

  1. Turn off power before making connections.
  2. Use shielded cables for sensor inputs; ground shield at controller end only.
  3. For thermocouples, use matching extension wires; avoid junctions of different metals.
  4. For RTDs, use 3-wire or 4-wire connection to eliminate lead resistance error.
  5. For relay outputs, consider external contactors for loads exceeding relay rating.

Tip: Keep power wires separate from signal wires to prevent noise interference.

Operation Modes

Supports ON/OFF control, PID control, and program control.

  1. ON/OFF Control: Simple hysteresis control; set differential band.
  2. PID Control: Precise control with proportional, integral, derivative actions.
  3. Auto-tuning: Initiates by holding SET and MODE simultaneously; controller learns system dynamics.
  4. Manual Tuning: Adjust P, I, D values based on process response.
  5. Program Control: Multi-segment ramping/soaking programs (advanced models).
  6. Heating/Cooling Control: Dual outputs for heating and cooling devices.
  7. Communication Mode: Remote setpoint adjustment and monitoring via Modbus RTU.

WARNING! Do not touch terminals during operation. High temperatures may be present.

Advanced Functions

Alarm Functions: High/Low limit, deviation, sensor break alarm. Communication: Modbus RTU protocol, address setting 1-247, baud rate 9600-115200. Program Control: Up to 16 segments with ramp/soak patterns. Password Protection: Restrict parameter changes (default 0000).

Care & Maintenance

Disconnect power before cleaning. Use dry cloth; avoid chemicals. Periodically check connections for tightness. Calibrate annually using certified temperature source.

CAUTION! Do not use compressed air that may contain moisture. Keep ventilation openings clear.
