Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Connect AC adapter (optional): Plug adapter into DC jack on side of unit.
  3. Attach cuff: Insert cuff tube into connector on left side of unit until it clicks.
  4. Set date and time: Press SET button and use START/STOP to adjust.

WARNING! Use only specified batteries and adapter. Do not mix old and new batteries.

First-Time Setup

Power on monitor; follow prompts.

  1. Set date and time: Press SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values, press SET to confirm.
  2. Apply cuff correctly: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  4. Take first measurement: Press START/STOP, remain still until measurement completes.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is not too tight or too loose. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.

Access functions via buttons on front panel.

Taking Measurements

For accurate readings, follow proper procedure.

  1. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported.
  2. Apply cuff to left upper arm (or as instructed by physician).
  3. Position arm so cuff is at heart level.
  4. Press START/STOP button.
  5. Remain still and quiet during inflation and measurement.
  6. Read results on display when measurement completes.
  7. Press START/STOP again to turn off unit, or wait for auto power-off.

Tip: Avoid eating, drinking caffeine, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes before measurement.

Memory Function

Stores up to 100 readings with date and time.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to cycle through stored readings.
  2. Clear memory: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY for 3 seconds until display clears.
  3. Average function: Automatically calculates average of last 3 readings taken within 10 minutes.
  4. Memory full indicator: Shows when 100 readings are stored.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are removed if changed within 3 minutes.

Care & Cleaning

Remove batteries before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth only; do not use liquids or chemicals.

  1. Cuff cleaning: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry completely.
  2. Unit cleaning: Wipe exterior with dry cloth.
  3. Storage: Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Cuff storage: Loosely coil cuff, do not bend tube sharply.
