Getting Started

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back and insert the specified batteries (e.g., 2 AAA), observing polarity.
  2. Set Date and Time: Press the SET button and use the START/STOP button to adjust the date and time. Press SET to confirm.
  3. Apply the Cuff: Place the cuff on your left wrist (for most users) with the display facing up, about 1-2 cm above your wrist bone. Secure snugly with the cloth closure.
  4. Positioning: Sit comfortably with your back straight, feet flat on the floor. Rest your elbow on a table so the cuff is at heart level.

CAUTION! For accurate readings, remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not talk or move your arm.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate reading.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes prior.
  2. Apply the cuff correctly as described in Getting Started.
  3. Position your arm so the cuff is at heart level.
  4. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet until measurement is complete and the cuff deflates.
  6. Your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed.
  7. The reading is automatically stored in memory.
  8. To turn off the unit, press START/STOP again, or it will power off automatically.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

The monitor stores readings with date and time stamps.

  1. Viewing Memory: Press the MEMORY button. The most recent reading appears. Press MEMORY repeatedly to scroll through all stored readings.
  2. Multiple Users: Some models support two users. Press and hold MEMORY to switch between User 1 and User 2 icons.
  3. Clearing Memory: To clear all memory for the current user, enter the settings mode (press SET), navigate to the memory clear option, and confirm. Note: This action cannot be undone.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are replaced if done quickly.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures longevity and accuracy.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners.
  2. Storage: Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, dust, and humidity.
  3. Cuff Care: Do not fold the cuff tightly or bend the air tube excessively. Do not wash the cuff.
  4. Batteries: Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears. Remove batteries if the monitor will not be used for an extended period.

CAUTION! Never immerse the monitor in water or any other liquid. Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the unit yourself.
