Safety Information

Read all instructions before use. For personal home use only.

  1. Do not use on infants, small children, or persons who cannot express themselves.
  2. Do not use while operating a vehicle or machinery.
  3. Consult your physician for interpretation of readings and before making medical decisions.
  4. Ensure cuff is properly positioned on bare upper arm at heart level.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement.

WARNING! Not suitable for use with pacemakers or other electronic implants. Do not use in an oxygen-rich environment or near flammable gases.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components.

  1. Main Unit: Contains the display, control buttons, and air hose connector.
  2. D-Ring Cuff: Wraps around the upper arm. The metal D-ring secures the cuff.
  3. START/STOP Button: Initiates and stops the measurement.
  4. MEMORY Button: Accesses stored readings and user selection.
  5. Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, icons, and date/time.
  6. Air Hose: Connects the cuff to the main unit.
  7. AC Adapter Jack: For connecting the optional AC adapter.
  8. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries.

CAUTION! Do not bend or kink the air hose. Do not disassemble the main unit.

Initial Setup

Prepare the device for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back. Insert 4 new AA batteries, observing polarity. Alternatively, plug in the AC adapter.
  2. Set Date & Time: Press and hold the MEMORY button for 3 seconds. Use the START/STOP button to adjust values and MEMORY to confirm and move to the next setting.
  3. Select User: Briefly press the MEMORY button to toggle between User 1 and User 2 icons on the display.
  4. Apply the Cuff: Place cuff on left upper arm (bare skin) 1-2 cm above elbow. Ensure the air tube runs down the center of your arm. Pull the end of the cuff through the metal D-ring and secure snugly.

Tip: For most accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes prior.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate reading.

  1. Sit in a chair with feet flat on the floor and back supported.
  2. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
  3. Ensure the cuff is correctly applied (see Initial Setup).
  4. Press the START/STOP button. The monitor will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet. Do not talk or move your arm.
  6. The cuff will deflate automatically. Your reading will display.
  7. The monitor will automatically store the reading for the selected user.
  8. To turn the unit off, press the START/STOP button again, or it will power off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not over-tighten the cuff. If you feel pain or numbness, stop the measurement immediately.

Understanding the Display

Icons and symbols on the LCD screen.

User 1 / User 2 IconIndicates which user profile is active for memory storage.
Hypertension IndicatorAppears if systolic reading is 135 mmHg or higher, or diastolic is 85 mmHg or higher.
Irregular Heartbeat IconAppears if an irregular rhythm is detected during measurement.
Body Movement IconAppears if excessive movement is detected; the measurement may be inaccurate.
Memory Icon (M)Appears when reviewing stored readings.

Memory Function

Stores and recalls readings for two users.

  1. Select User: Briefly press the MEMORY button to choose User 1 or User 2 before measuring.
  2. Automatic Storage: Each successful measurement is stored with date and time for the selected user (up to 100 readings each). Oldest readings are overwritten when memory is full.
  3. Reviewing Memory: Press and hold the MEMORY button for 2 seconds while the unit is off. The most recent reading displays. Press START/STOP to scroll through previous readings.
  4. Average Reading: While reviewing memory, if three readings were taken within the last 10 minutes, the AVERAGE of those three will display first.
  5. Clearing Memory: With the unit off, remove the batteries for 10 seconds. All memory will be erased.

Proper care ensures long life and accuracy.

CAUTION! Never attempt to repair the unit yourself. Disconnect power before cleaning.
