Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Attach cuff: Connect cuff tube to the air connector on left side of unit.
  3. Connect AC adapter (optional): Plug into DC jack on unit and wall outlet.
  4. Set date and time: Use MEMORY button to enter setup mode.

WARNING! Do not use if cuff is damaged. Ensure proper cuff size for accurate measurement.

First-Time Setup

Power on monitor; follow setup prompts.

  1. Set date and time: Press MEMORY button for 3 seconds to enter setup.
  2. Select user: Choose USER 1 or USER 2 for personalized memory.
  3. Apply cuff properly: Position 1-2 cm above elbow on bare arm.
  4. Take first measurement: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.

CAUTION! Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not talk or move arm.

Controls and Settings

Access functions via front panel buttons. Front Panel: START/STOP, MEMORY, SET.

Display Icons: User indicator, Battery level, Heartbeat symbol, Hypertension warning, Date/Time, Systolic/Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate.

Settings: Date/Time format (MM/DD or DD/MM), User selection (USER 1/USER 2), Memory review, Average calculation (last 3 readings). Measurement: Automatic inflation/deflation, IntelliSense pressure adjustment, Body movement detection, Irregular heartbeat detection.

Connecting to Power

Battery: 4 AA batteries. AC adapter: Optional 6V DC input.

  1. Turn off monitor before changing batteries.
  2. Insert batteries with correct polarity (+/-).
  3. For AC adapter, ensure proper voltage (6V DC).
  4. Low battery indicator appears when replacement needed.

Tip: Use alkaline batteries for longer life. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.

Taking Measurements

For accurate blood pressure and pulse readings.

  1. Prepare: Sit comfortably with feet flat, back supported, arm at heart level.
  2. Apply cuff: Wrap snugly around bare upper arm, tube aligned with artery.
  3. Start: Press START/STOP button, unit inflates automatically.
  4. Measure: Remain still until measurement completes and cuff deflates.
  5. Read results: Systolic, diastolic pressure and pulse rate display.
  6. Store: Reading automatically stores to current user memory.
  7. Review: Press MEMORY button to view previous readings.
  8. Average: Unit calculates average of last 3 readings for each user.

WARNING! Do not use on injured arm or if you have circulatory problems. Consult doctor first.

Memory Functions

Multi-user memory with 100 total readings. Memory Review: Press MEMORY to scroll through readings. Average Calculation: Shows average of last 3 readings. User Selection: Toggle between USER 1 and USER 2.

Care & Cleaning

Remove batteries before cleaning. Wipe with soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse in water.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners. Store in cool, dry place.
